Agnes' Vineyard, Lodi
Download Order Form
Located in the Central Valley region of California, Lodi is home to some of the oldest Zinfandel plantings in the state. The region’s sandy clay loam soils, warm days and cool evening breezes contribute to soft, approachable Zinfandels with rich, lush fruit character. Agnes’ Vineyard Zinfandel is typical of the region. Dry-farmed and head-pruned, Agnes’ Vineyard on the outskirts of Lodi yields a big, rich, plush wine with concentrated blackberry, raspberry, and plum fruit, complemented with hints of anise and black pepper spice. The vineyard’s 97-year-old namesake, Agnes Schroeder, wouldn’t have it any other way.
2039 cases produced.

"Medium crimson hue. Pretty aromas of raisin, plum and redwood. Rich texture on entry with chewy cherry, rhubarb and sweet vanilla-laced tannins. Sweet/sour red fruit on the finish with a smooth integration of subtle oaky notes."

"Medium ruby; attractive, herbal, briary, peppery, very ripe blackberry fruit aroma with a hint of mocha and a slight barnyardy component; full body; big, intense, highly extracted, blackberry fruit flavors with a supple mouthfeel; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Highly recommended"
